The lemon , Citrus limon (L.) Osbeck, is a small spruce species in the family of Rutaceae flowering plants, native to Asia.
The ellipsoidal yellow fruit of the tree is used for culinary and non-culinary purposes around the world, especially for its juice, which has both culinary and cleaning uses.
