Strite inspires Keane to see real estate as an option to build money for his mission. His first real estate investment was his first home he bought during the 2007 recession

Preliminary Period of Struggle

Turner underestimated the crippling effect of the recession period and immediately had to work several jobs simultaneously to pay back nearly the $ 150,000 loan he took to buy a home. During this period he also read a book on real estate investing to learn about the profession.

He had moved to Nashville the same year to work for two real estate investors without any pay. Through this 9-month assignment, she learns how real estate business works and immediately begins to open the house independently. He builds expertise in identifying properties, and then fixes and resells them. After his first experience opening a home in 2011, he moved to more than 100 homes until 2013. He also took an infill and mixed-use development project, focusing on urban areas.

Initial Criticism

Turner works by focusing on homes occupied by squatters, renovating homes, and changing the environment before resale. Initially, this approach was viewed with skepticism and fear, even by the banks he approached for investment. The concept of developing a bleak urban environment that is considered public as unsafe is not a popular opinion when Keane starts this approach.

Air Development Group

Keane founded Aerial Development Group in 2009, during the first phase of his struggle. A group based in Nashville, Aerial focuses on revitalizing urban environments - both residential and commercial - in Tennessee through infill and renovation projects. With their stated mission to empower people, defend the planet, and capitalize on capitalism as a force for good, Aerial now has five other companies under their brand name, recording 2000% growth for 5 years and generating revenues of approximately $ 23 million in 2015.

Aerial is known in the real estate market of Nashville to change the environment in the fringe zone of development into a fast growing and livable area.
