Bob Rummer built the Eichler-esque home in Portland during the 1960s and 1970s after his wife, Phyllis, visited the Eichler Rancho San Miguel subdivision at Walnut Creek California in 1959. Rummer built nearly a thousand of these medieval modern houses inside and around Portland Oregon, and they have had the following cult for some time.
During a 2011 interview with Oregon Home, Robert Rummer filtered out his architectural vision into a phrase: "a house that brings out in and out".
Some floor plans include an atrium, with other features such as a large glass window to the ceiling, construction of pegs and beams (the beam originally painted in Oxford Oxford's Rhodda), vaulted ceilings in several models, kitchen kitchens with Thermadore stainless oven and stove cropping, floor heat, and Roman baths.
