Early life and education

Lisa was born and raised in Woodmere, New York. He graduated Lawrence High School, a public school located in Lawrence, New York. Lisa graduated with Honors from The Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1981. She received a Doctor Juris degree from the Faculty of Law of New York University in 1984, where she won the American Jurisprudence Award for Excellence in Constitutional Law. He entered the New York Bar in 1985 and the Connecticut Bar in 1991.

Legal career

During law school, Lisa worked for the Real Estate Finance Division of the New York State Attorney General. Immediately after law school, Lisa joins the law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & amp; McCloy as a partner. In 1987, Lisa founded her own law firm, initially based in Irvington, New York, and later in Westport, CT. Major areas of practice include contracts, commercial and residential real estate, and trust, plantation, and validation letters. In 2013, in a special election, Lisa wins the election for Probate Judge for District 50, Westport/Weston for a one-year term. He ran unhindered in 2014 and is currently serving a four-year sentence.

Lisa Wexler currently serves, with legislative appointments, on the Commission on Juvenile Justice Police Monitoring ("JJPOC") Commission for Juvenile Justice, a committee approved by law to report to the legislature on recommendations for reforming the Connecticut children's justice system. He served his third year on the committee.

Lisa Wexler also served at the Westport Planning and Zoning Commission from 1997-1999 and was elected to the Westport Zoning Zoning Council, who served from 1999-2003.

Broadcasting career

Looking for a career in radio, Lisa completed her curriculum from Connecticut School of Broadcasting in January 2006. She started her own show on September 30, 2006, aired on Cox Radio 1400 WSTC/1350 WNLK in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Gov. Jodi Rell was the first guest. The show progressed from the 60 minute format on Saturday morning to five days a week during the primetime 4-6 PM slot. This event is a news-talk format that covers local, national, and international news, entertainment and culture. The event is also broadcast on WYBC-Yale Broadcasting, in 2008, and at WFAS-AM, a Cumulus station, from December, 2011 to June 2015. Now broadcast daily from 4-6 PM EST at AM 1490 WGCH in Greenwich, Forte Family.

Westchester Magazine named Lisa Wexler "Best Radio Host" in 2012 as a result of a reader survey. Moffly Media, publisher of several magazines in Connecticut, named Lisa Wexler "Gold Coast Best Radio Personality" in 2009, 2010, and 2011 as a result of their annual reader surveys. In 2010, Lisa won the "Gracie Award" in the Outstanding Talk Show/News of American Women on Radio and Television for an interview with Gloria Steinem. In 2011, CT Press Club named The Lisa Wexler Show the best radio show in the state and the Jewish Ledger named him one of the Movers and Shaker states. Lisa often appears on television, and appears in a weekly segment called "Wexing Poetic" on CT-FOX 61.

Writing career

Together with his mother Gloria Kamen and sister Jill Zarin, Lisa co-wrote the Secret Jewish Mother, a Jewish secular cultural book published in April 2010 (Penguin/Dutton). Award-winning books are also published in Japanese, Russian and Chinese, as well as in paperback editions. Jill Zarin is one of the original "Housewives of New York City" aired on Bravo TV. Lisa has published new works in the Hearst and The Hartford Courant papers.

Personal Life and Community Services

Lisa has been a resident of Westport, Connecticut since 1989. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Center in Norwalk, Westport, Wilton, Weston, and Bridgeport for several years. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Jeffrey Modell Foundation for Primary Immunodeficiency Research and serves on the Advisory Board of Jane Doe No More, a nonprofit intended to remove the stigma of sexual assault. Lisa is also a founding member of Connecticut Women's Power, which organizes several events each year aimed at educating and empowering women in their personal and professional lives. Lisa is a lifelong member of Hadassah and an active member of Weston Kiwanis.
