Dennis M. Powers (born October 2, 1942) is an American nonfiction writer with numerous published works. He holds a bachelor's degree at the University of Colorado at Boulder (B.A., 1964), a law degree from the University of Denver Law Faculty (Juris Doctor 1967), and a management degree from Harvard Business School (M.B.A., 1969).

He first worked for large corporations in various areas of finance, before moving on to Santa Barbara, California. While there, he finally started the practice of business law (ten years) while forming and running a different small business. During this time, he wrote poetry, newspaper and magazine articles, fiction, and nonfiction works. Dennis Powers then joined the faculty of the Southern Oregon University School of Business in Ashland, Oregon, where he taught for twelve years and became Full Professor with published nonfiction books. After retiring from full-time teaching as an Emeritus faculty member, he continued writing books, newspaper articles, and other works that included public radio.

Works published

The Power of Attorney Real Estate Form Series (software and hardcopy) and Power of Attorney Business Forms Series (also software and hardcopy) were first published. Legal Street Smarts is next, followed by Beating Difficult Times , Legal Defense Burden , The Office Romance , and Internet Legal Guidelines .

Dennis Powers' nonfiction book, The Office Romance , was the publisher's main book in 1998 and she's on a national book tour. The book is then published in Chinese and German editions. While teaching at Southern Oregon University, he wrote over fifty Internet publications, academics, legal encyclopedia chapters, magazines, and newspaper articles in various fields.

Following the 1964 tsunami of the Great Friday earthquake that drove in Alaska and the US West Coast, his book The Raging Sea followed in the mass market trading and paperback. Shipbuilding is next: This job is about the loss of S.S. Brother Jonathan, a steamboat that fell from northern California in 1865 with millions of dollars in gold and was finally discovered 125 years later. Treasure Ship then taken out in the novel. Next, Sentinel of the Seas exit; this book is about the construction and operation of the most dangerous and expensive lighthouse built, St. George Reef Lighthouse. He went on to Take the Sea, a book about the destroyers of the past, or to save the ship, during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. In 2010, his book on marine life during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries - and through the story of the charismatic sea captain, Dynamite Johnny O'Brien - was published as The Tales of the Seven Oceans: The Escapades of Captain Dynamite Johnny O 'Brien .
