MRI Investment Management (formerly "Cougar Software") provides budgeting, planning and software forecasting for real estate investors in the global commercial real estate industry. Cougar Software was founded in Australia in 1992. The company has offices in Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom and the US, and in February 2015 was acquired by MRI Software of Solon, Ohio.

Cougar Software was founded in Sydney, Australia in 1992 by Bruce Millar. Oren Rosen, who previously held leadership positions with companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, joined Cougar Software as Vice President in 2007, and later took over as Chief Executive Officer of the company in 2008. In 2014, Rosen was appointed to the board of the Open Standards Consortium for Real Estate (OSCRE), strengthening company support for OSCRE industry standards.

Cougar Software was acquired by MRI Software on February 3, 2015 and is now referred to as "MRI Investment Management."

Recognition
Cougar Software is a 2014 finalist in the Real Estate Technology Innovation category of the "Digie" Awards.
The winner of the Digie Award for technological innovation on 2012/2013/2014 includes two Cougar Software customers - Walmart Realty and TIAA-CREF.
